The Duttons were asked to sing the National Anthem to open the Springfield Cardinals baseball game on July 17.

Sunday’s game at Hammons Field was “Make-A-Wish Night at the Ballpark,” supporting the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The foundation’s vision is to grant the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions.

For each special ticket purchased at the game, a percentage of the ticket was donated directly to the Make-A-Wish Missouri office. Each ticket holder also was given a free Cardinals cap.

From the pitcher’s mound, Amy, Judith, Tim, and Benjamin sang a moving rendition of the National Anthem. Tim Dutton said he felt proud to be able to participate in the event:

“We had such a fun time attending the game and singing the National Anthem, and we feel so honored to be able to participate in the effort to help the Make-a-Wish organization! We are so grateful to all those who helped contributed with that effort. Go Cardinals!”

The Duttons have received a lot of support for Amy Dutton Arambulo’s son, Josiah, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2013, so they are passionate about supporting causes, especially for children.
