Danna's BBQ

Postby Aurora » Sun Jan 01, 2006 10:51 am

My Son and I tried Danna's for the first time and we were very pleased with the large quantity of food and the freshness and good taste and reasonable prices.

Danna's is located down Grenta...go passed the Winery, keep going toward Welk Resort.
It's by the Skyline Baptist Church (used to be an unused theatre Gold 'something').
Danna's is between the Church and the Fall Creek Restaurant on the right hand side of the road....across from a statuary place.

It was bright and airy, nice view from the back windows.
You come in and give your order, take a number and find a table.
We were flabbergasted at the side of our orders.
I had the BIG stuffed baked potato filled with butter, sour cream, slaw, bbq beans and pork...good pork.
Son had Nachoes with beef...good beef he said...huge plate filled with so much we could not finish.

I noticed that there is a take out window.
For a family of 4,
you get one pound of either pork or beef,
bbq beans, slaw and rolls for less that $16.

I will be going back. I would advise going early. I hear it gets pretty crowded.
But you could call in an order, pick it up and keep heading down that road to a picnic spot.

You are making me want to go to Branson right now!!
Danna's sounds really good. I've been reading about it on another board.

The original Danna's burned down about three or four years ago, and was re-built and is even better! There is one in Branson West now too. It's my favorite place to go for lunch , just wish they were open on Sundays!

I thought Danna's BBQ was on Gretna/ 165 close to Fall Creek road. By the place that is a church now that used to be a dinner theater.

We finally tried Dana's this weekend. I tried the pulled pork. It tasted about like Shorty Smalls. My wife had the burger. She thought the specialty burgers sounded good, but stuck with the plain cheeseburger.
