Have any of you gone to any of the Museums in Branson? there are several of them, they are all very interesting to visit.

If you grew up in the 1950tes or 60ties you will see any or all toys you may have had.

The Veterars Museum is a must

The White House Museum is also very interesting. If you are into campaign buttons they have them. Portions of Grandma Attic from Mike Radfords remember When is also there.

I am glad to hear they have added parts of Mike's collection. When we were there, the main big room was stuff for sale. I was disappointed.
I am sure his added collection will make a big improvement.

Is that the main lobby at the White House, where all the clocks are?

I think she is talking about the Presidental Museum. That's the one we toured and were disappointed.

I could have stayed there forever! I will admit it did help on the Country music part to have grown up here and know who all those people from around here were, like Bill Ring. There are lots of other things to enjoy as well, but it was fun to see pictures of people that were our neighbors at one time and realize they were actually famous. Anyone remember Uncle Sy and Aunt Sap? They lived not far from us. Goo Goo was another one on the Ozarks Jubilee that we knew well. In fact, the only time my car wouldn't start at work and I called a cab, I was so relieved when it was Goo Goo that picked me up. Of course I loved the Native American section. Did you have your picture taken in the Beverly Hillbilly truck?

The Mill on campus was interesting as well.

Has anyone been in the Toy Museum? Is it worth the price of going in there?

The whole College of the Ozarks Campus is so clean and beautiful. The landscaping alone is worth going to see. And it is not far from Branson at all.
And the Mill is worth seeing.
My husband would like to go when the Tractor Museum is open.
Yes, we have a photo taken of us in the real Beverly Hillbillies Truck!
It was taken with that very old, very expensive camera set up they have.

Well, -----only if you get a really good deal on tickets.

It sure has alot of old toys in there, but the documentation left alot to be desired.
We went through it last year.
I enjoyed the Roy Rogers Museum more.

I understand that now there is also a Harold Bell Wright Museum inside the Toy Museum.

Jean

How long ago was that they only had the one room for a while, It openedt the 2nd room later, where Mike stuff is and also a portion of Air Force One that you can get on and walk through,

We enjoyed that alot so try again. there is a small movie theater there where you can see some films about Air Force One and others about the Presidents.

The located right behind the Starlight Theater and is not connected with "TheWhite House Theater" there is a website I will need to look it up or you can find it on Mike's website www.mikeradford.com or www.asalutetoservice.com
Ok I found it is www.americanpresidentialmuseum.com

Deb, I think that the Toy Museum also offers a free Harold Bell Wright Museum when you buy a ticket to the Toy Museum. Also the Gift Show is kind of neat.
The Best Read Guide has a coupon for a few dollars off.

Thank you.
I may check out the Toy Museum some time when I'm in Branson. I would like to see what old toys they have in there that I probably had and got rid of. But, I do still have all my Barbie's!!! :D

Holloywood Wax Museum
It was nice, but at over $25 a couple, unless you are a big film buff, I think that Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum is a better value.

We had fun at the Wax Museum. My husband kept asking me who everyone was even though each set is clearly marked with names, dates and movies.
So it turned in a game to see how many I could correctly name. And he took my picture sitting in the Tonight Show set.
I sat in the "guest" chair and looked like I was talking to Johnny Carson.
And I took a picture of him in a tommy gun battle with Edward G. Robinson and James Gagney.
