We had an awesome time in Branson October 7-14th. We spent time with wonderful friends, took in a few shows, and did lots of shopping.
Our first show was on Sat. night and it was the Duttons, what a great show, but we all know that already. This is truly a wondeful, talented family and they are so good to their fans.
On Sunday we spent the day at SDC, we took in shows there and then went back to our condo and had some good friends over to visit.
Monday night PatiCake101 and I meet another friend and went to Tony Roi's show. Tony puts on a great show and is a great entertainer. Our husbands went to Country Tonite, they said the show was good.
Tuesday was Yakov, and of course it was a great show. You can go this show and cry from laughing so hard. Yakov and Slim work well with each other and make you laugh until you are in tears. Slim as Juliet is so funny! I was picked by Slim in the preshow and kissed by him. Paticake's hubby was "Sissydog" in the show, he was such a good sport about it. Yakov is so proud to be an American and it makes you leave his theater feeling so good.
Tuesday night we went to the Haygoods. It was mine and dh first time to see this show, and what a show it was. I can't believe all the energy those guys have! Love the music they play from the 40's on up, everyone should see this show at least once. It isn't any thing like a "teeny boop" show like I had thought.
Wednesday morning after breakfast we had to say goodbye to PatiCake101 and her dh, they had to go home...it was so much fun vacationing with them!!
Wednesday night we went on the Show Boat Branson Belle for our 20th anniversary. We ate in the Paddle Wheel Room, our waiter was so nice, and the food was so good. The show was great, loved Todd Oliver and his dogs. It was to windy so we had to stay docked and couldn't go out on the lake.
Thursday we went to the Liverpool Legends, they sure put on a good show. People were up on their feet dancing and having a good time.
Friday we went to Yakov's marriage seminar. It was very good and dh and I decided we have a lot of laughter in our marriage and we're in good shape. We're beating the odds because this is a second amrriage for both of us.
Saturday we had to come home, we're already planning next year's trip. We are wanting to come down for the Branson Christmas season.
When people from here ask what shows to see when they go to Branson I ask what they like and have 3 that I recommend: The Duttons, Yakov, and Tony Roi.
