Olive Garden

Postby deblet » Sat Apr 16, 2005 12:14 pm

I must admit that I visit Olive Garden quite often. I will often get the Seafood Alfredo, the salad, and a Bellini Tea. My hubby loves their Chicken Dishes, but has recently been drawn to the Chicken Portebello Mushroom Alfredo which he says is delicious. Their portions are so HUGE that I always ask for a togo box, so I end up having it for two meals. :D

I don't mind paying a little extra, if I know it's gonna be 2 meals in 1. I feel like I'm saving money that way. Crazy huh?

No, not crazy!!! I think that way myself. My hubby was disappointed when we went a couple weeks ago that they took off the Portobello Mushroom Dish he loved so much! Oh, well....something to look forward to if they ever bring it back.

Hubby and I are hooked on their Zuppa (soup). It is wonderful. I have been fortunate enough to find that recipe on the net and make it fairly often at home now. It is yum yummy.

We visited the garden on our last trip and it was wonderful! Our waitress was a little crabby, but we got over it and managed to enjoy our meal. I don't think we've ever had a bad experience there. (except when Jana took off running across the newly-waxed floors and punctured a hole in her tongue :( She'll have to tell ya about that one.)

Lady Drifter, would you mind posting that Zuppa in the recipe section in the "Shoot the Breeze" Forum? It sounds wonderful.

The zuppa soup is my hubby's favorite soup. I don't know if I could do it justice at home! :?

Had to eat here again this past weekend... just can't get past that Zuppa Tuscana, salad, and breadsticks. It hit the spot on a late, cool Friday evening. :)

I think I posted the recipe in the "recipe section" under Shoot The Breeze. You might check it out there. :)
