Program Description

Dutton Flag Tag Flag on Car Aside from Area Appreciation Days, most business promotions by Branson entertainers are aimed at the tourists. Acknowledging the financial stresses on everyone's budget these days, The Duttons are adding excitement to the summer months with "Flag Tag" with over $10,000 in prizes to be awarded.

Beginning today, bright yellow Dutton pennants for vehicle antennas are being distributed at the Dutton Family Theater on Highway 76 and various other locations throughout the town, including all four Country Mart locations and the three locations of First Community Bank. Other distribution locations include the Golden Corral, and Branson Meadows Cinema.

Every day the Dutton Flag Tag Prize Presenters will be sent to a random, computer-selected location and time to find one lucky person displaying a Dutton flag on their car's bumper, window, or antennae* in a manner so as to not obstruct the driver's view. The Prize Presenters will award a surprise prize. Thanks to the business partnering of the distribution locations, typical daily prizes could include cash, dinners for two, savings bonds, gas cards, show tickets and more.

Close up of Dutton Flag Tag Flag on car Flag Tag will run for three months: June, July and August. Each month a grand prize winner will be selected from the daily winners. Grand prize winners will receive a trip for two, including airfare and accommodations, to a surprise resort location.

Judith Dutton, box office marketing manager and wife of Timothy Dutton, explained,

"Rather than just spending money on traditional advertising, we wanted to find a way to involve and reward members of the Branson community – and have some fun too! We know that everyone is feeling the economic pinch, so we tried to pick gifts that will lift the spirits – like dinners or shows, or help the budget – like cash or gas cards. Along with our partners in this promotion, we wanted to reward the local people that make our community such a great place to live, work and visit."

*if you plan on driving at hwy speeds (in excess of 45 mph), we recommend removing the flag from the antennae of your car.
